Summer Tweed hurts. Maybe it's my tension, maybe it's just coming off of a project in 100% silk, maybe it's simply rough yarn, maybe I need a little Cathay in my life. Is it wrong to hug the yarn? Even if it's orange? Is it wrong not to be paying attention to the conference call?
Good news! I will be sporting the La Luz Bolero at Granny's 100th Birthday party. I completed the lace edging last night. And I remembered to order the flowers for the table and her wrist.
Bad news, see earlier post regarding camera batteries. Can't show you the lovely La Luz Bolero to be worn over black tank dress. Husband approved the ensemble. Like I said, wish I had batteries in the camera.
Worst news, the lace edging is laying a bit weird. I'm scared to steam it, what if I make the lace get all weird from too much steam? I fear wetting and blocking because it's Thursday, party is Sunday.
Must go pay attention to conference call and finish making notebooks for the store and put Orange Cathay back on the shelf. ;-)

Yep, I agree. I returned 9 skeins of Summer Tweed in a delicious Berry color :::le sigh::: but replaced it with 3 hanks of Interlacements Oregon Worsted. now to wait for fall...
Blessings,
Susie

I HATE summer tweed. I've got a ton and have only managed to use a small portion of it for a henley t-shirt. I should try to make a trade, too.
It is beautiful but nearly impossible to knit with. I must have frogged 3 or 4 different projects started with it.

I agree about the Summer Tweed, I tried to knit with it three times, and ended up trading the yarn away. I really like the way it looks, but can't stand to touch it.

Have a wonderful time at Granny's birthday party! I'm sure the bolero looks great and will look forward to seeing it in person one day!
